On April 17, a matchmaking event exclusively for Canadian food enterprises, jointly hosted by the Lecheng Pioneer Zone Administration Bureau and the Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou, was successfully held. It attracted representatives from 22 Canadian food companies, 15 medical institutions in the park, 11 distribution agents, and financial institutions. The event focused on precise matchmaking regarding the access pathways, clinical applications, and market promotion of Canadian natural health products.
Jacqueline Jorge, Consul at the Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou, stated that Canadian natural health products are renowned for their strict standards, cutting-edge R&D, and high-quality raw materials. The policy innovation and open ecosystem of the Lecheng Pioneer Zone provide an efficient and convenient channel for Canadian companies to enter the Chinese market. She expressed hope that the Consumer Expo would serve as a bond to continuously deepen pragmatic cooperation in the health industry between China and Canada.
On the same day, the launch ceremony of the franchised health food of Canadian brand Zaley and the opening ceremony of Lemei International — Americas Pavilion were held simultaneously. The Canadian Zaley Seal Oil Soft Capsules are the 16th franchised health food approved by medical institutions since the implementation of Lecheng's special food policy. Relying on the cross-border consumption policies of the free trade port and Lecheng's special policies, domestic consumers can conveniently purchase through compliant channels and simultaneously enjoy international high-quality nutritional health products.
The Lemei International Americas Pavilion, as an intercontinental themed health consumption platform created by Lecheng, adopts a hybrid model of "offline experience + cross-border e-commerce." It integrates product display, immersive experience, professional consultation, and cross-border sales, regularly showcasing global health products such as franchised health foods and foods for special medical purposes, creating a "365-day non-stop" cross-border health consumption scenario. The pavilion strictly selects authentic products from Canada, Australia, and other source countries, provides personalized health management services, and bridges the "last mile" for international high-quality health products to enter Chinese households, further enriching Lecheng's health consumption supply.
